According to llamma it is a dvd error - mostly wrong firmware.

Can you give more information on how you got the error?

I had a power supply go dowm while I was flashing the drive computer and xbox where on same supplt can I fix or am I screwed

I think i'm right in saying if you have the dummy.bin saved you will be ok. All you have to do is load jungle flasher and pick up your dummy.bin in the firmware tool tab, it should then ask you to auto load ixtreme to target and away you go again.

I'm sure if i'm slightly out then someone will put me straight lol

or use this link from miketrev. Its a slightly different take on the flashing process

when I cycle thought the I\O port can't the drive and nothing says vender mode will I have the same problem with the other flashing method or I'm I missing a step?

try this to see if it helps:

Go in to jugleflasher and go to MTKfLASHER 32.
Then pick your I/O port that you have your Lite-on on don't worry about the drive being detected.
Go to device ID and click on it.
It should show up in device id then you can right the firmware back to it
