Hey guys was flashing another LiteOn today when I stumbled on a fault that I havent seen before. Once I pressed the LiteOn Erase button on JF the drive reported vendor mode but no drive/chip properties on the right hand side. I havent gone through with the flash just in case I brick the drive. The drive wont eject now.
I saved the log file and got this:
Sending Lite-On-Erase request to port 0xEC00
..............
Drive returned Status 0x72
Manufacturer ID: 0x0
Device ID: 0x0
Flash Name: Unknown type
Flash Size: n/a
Sending Vendor Outro to port 0xEC00
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to recover the drive so I can try again?
Im running the portIO drivers fine, managed to flash LiteOns before without having this problem, but as I can see its a common issue for a lot of people.
Many thanks in advance!

Change the drive to a different SATA port and then resend the Lite-ON erase command. Power cycle when prompted.

Fixed it! Turns out the drive was in vendor mode all this time, it allowed me to write the Custom Firmware onto it! That was a good waste of three hours! lol

ok if youre in the same situation as I am exit JungleFlasher, power off the drive and reboot the PC.
When everything comes back on, go to google and download DosFlash32.
Once its been extracted power the LiteOn back on and open up the DosFlash32.
Locate the port your drive is connected to and send the LITEON ERASE command (from the drop list)
Now when you select the LiteOn drive should have a status x72 (means the drive is in vendor mode)
Once that has been done select the WRITE command in DosFlash, locate your custom firmware you made in JungleFlasher and go ahead and write.
You will know it was a successful write if you press the Eject button on your CK3 and the drive responds (means theres firmware on it again)
Good luck mate.

You probably didn't have the correct drivers installed at the time. If you flash hitachis too uou may have left the viamraid.sys in the widnows folder? Check the forum on how to remove and add drivers correctly. You won't have to waste hours again. Its the liteon drive that's the pain not the card :)
