im thinking about flashing my 360, its an older version of a liteon drive im guessing from reading about it online, manufacturing date 07/09/2009 .. could someone give me the most up to date flashing guidee for noobiess , also wat are the risks now of flashing and being banned in the next banwave, all i do is play live i dont bother with single palyer games, and i dont want to screw myself by doing this..could anybody help ?

You need to do a full dump regardless of what version of lite-on is in it. This requires cutting traces and soldering. If you don't have these skills, you might want to consider a professional do it for you. A full dump is required to keep the laser specs and to be safe on xbox live. Without a full dump, you will wear out your laser and not be safe for live.

is that really true, even with the 7 series lite on, ive just heard the probe method works fine

Probe 707 works but it's not safe for live. That method is not a full dump. I am just suggesting to do it the proper way. This keeps your laser settings so it won't burn out as quick. It's advised if you play on live as well.

whoa what this is the first time i've read this.

i always thought ck3 probe and the new lt lite touch was safe for live, for now.

is there a guide on how to solder/change laser settings? i couldn't find it in the search bar.

Correct. They are no longer safe for live.
