Like a few people i got my xbox stuck in the continual updating loop. My problem is i never flashed my drive orignaly so i dont have the KEY or Dummy files.

am i right in thinking that if i click Erase Lite-on button open target firmware to the stock firmware i can write that on and start again ?

NO.u do that and u got a dvd player not a game console.u need to read ur fw and save it before any erasing

how do i read the firmware then? i read somewhere that once a lite on has been flashed the half open tray wont work anymore

Do the procedure for a full dump. A Lite-On I did about a week ago was doing the same thing (from what I was told). I never had the entire console. The drive was mailed to me. I did a full dump (cut & repaired traces), flashed it, mailed it back. He put it in and it works.

is there a guide for doing a full dump ? i have the jungle flasher guide but i can't see anything in there about it ( maybe im just blind ) but it seems everything i do it wants me to half close the drive. For the life of me i can't get it passed this part.
