OK, Running LT1.1 with a 74850C I got stuck in the loop thanks to a friend and NHL 12. Soooo I decided to flash back to stock, update and then flash LT1.9. I had everything going nicely until I went to erase LiteOn in Jf then something went desperately wrong and everything reset (PC/360 both). I let the PC restart and then turned the 360 back on and headed back to JF to try again. Now JF Will not find my drive, but If I go over into the MTK Flash 32 Tab and select Erase LiteOn it will send it to Vendor mode...ish, it says this...

if your getting your box in vendor mode u should be able to write your fw.make sure u have your fw loaded and after u erase just hit the write button.should work fine.make sure ur running as administraigter.

OK, I tried that. It's giving me an error message...

"Unknown flash type Write aborted !"

Do you know a way around this?

I just got this to happen instead of having the unknown areas...

Unfortunately when I click write it says...

Getting Status from port 0xE880
Invalid Status 0x80

...and a popup appears saying that the drive is in an invalid status

Are you using a via pci card. if yes make sure you are using the port on the end. i used to have problems with this until
someone told me about only using that port

Wow! Thank you sooo much! I'd say I feel like a noob but that's an understatement! I've worked on over a dozen 360s, including this one, and never had any problems using the side port. Anyhow I used the side and all went well with the flash. Got myself back to a stock 74850C. I then tried to USB the update to no avail. I got the error code...
335A-351F-1600-0703-C000-0099 ... so back to the web search went I! I found elsewhere that that code is caused by a drive FW discrepancy. Apparently part of the update got through. I went back and flashed to the post update FW and then tried to do the update and it worked!!! I then flashed LT1.9 and all is once again happy in 360-Land! Once again you folks at Afterdawn have helped me to save an otherwise disasterous day!! Thanks!!
