Burners to make a difference, well they did for me anyway, I managed to use a tonne of different branded dual layers on my 360, even the cheapest brands, such as CMC dual layers, what dvd burner are you using, I installed a pioneer dual layer burner in my pc which works a charm.
Any decent burner should work. I've used 9 different burners across 7 different manufacturers. And practically every brand of media (Verbs & cheapies) sold through retail in the US (there are prob other cheap brands overseas), and have ALWAYS had success. Only 2 coasters in an estimated 500 burns (although I did have a few coasters during the learning process).
My question to you coast9981 is if you're having success with Verbs, why switch?
My best bet is due to price, lol, verbs are pretty expensive in comparison to other brands, I personally only used verbs when it came to games that would lag or crash when using cheaper brands, such as gta iv, the map wouldn't render quick enough unless if it wa burnt to verbatims.
i dont mind using verbatim. just that i have 2 of 50 TDK dvd+r dl and i want to make use of it.
verbs/original works fine for me.
TDK media would verify backup games via abgx but sometimes work/freeze/open tray.
maybe its just lite-on drive not reading it =/

Could be, 360 lasers are picky when it comes to reading different branded disks, some lasers work with almost all dual layers whereas others only work with a few, if you have another dual layer burner try that, what speed are you burning your games at, tried 2.4x?
