OK, I'm new to the Xbox 360. I've soft modded Xbox's and Wii's and also done solderless modchips for both (my solder skills are sub-par). I'm looking for an Xbox to use the Blaster CK3 on. It says in the installation instructions that it won't work on "83850C and 93450C August 2009+" liteon drives.
I naturally take this to mean that if I get any Xbox made before August of 2009 I should be fine to use this. I've also looked for a list of likely drives correspond to what dates, but haven't been able to find anything, is there anything out there?
I would like a HDMI port and to be able to use the Blaster CK3, so If I can pick up an Xbox with HDMI made before August 2009, I should be set, right?
Also, I've read that people are getting into soft modding the Xbox 360 if the dashboard is at or below 7371 you can jtag. When did the 8XXX dashboard come out? I'm assuming that you can't have HDMI and a 7371 dashboard, that would be too convenient.

Yes, if you can find one. Ebay or Craigslist would be the easiest way to get a 74850c liteon.

I believe the homebrew disabling update was released in August 08.
The JTAG hack is complicated and involves soldering, I wouldn't recommend that you try it if you aren't great at soldering.

Yes, you can have a HDMI port and have an xbox that can be JTAGGED.
