Sorry if this has been asked a million of times but I have a phat model xbox 360 which was manufacture in November 2008 with a lite-on drive but I don't know what version of lite-on it is.

My xbox 360 is currently flashed to LT+1.1 from a shop that has now closed down and they were the ones that did the flashing and knew my dvd keys.

I haven't downloaded the latest microsoft update in fear of losing my dvd keys. Is there a way to recover it? someone told me I need soldering but I want to avoid that at all cost.

If I could recover it do I need to update first then recover or recover first then update?

Does it boot games? You will have to do the MRA hack or buy a lizard, usbpro to redump the keys if it boots games now.

It still boot games because I havent updated the last microsoft update. Can you link me to lizard? Will probe 3 work for mra hack?

well; it is advised to flash back to stock before updating the new dash. so dump fw and get keys, then reflash to stock fw. then update new MS dash, then reflash to 1.9.

What drive do you have?........If someone wouldn't mind correcting me if I'm wrong but I believe he can do a PhatKey to extract his drive key, correct? Since his drive still plays games.

I have a question about this. I updated to the new official MS firmware now only my reg games will boot. If i buy a usb pro and a ck3 probe will I be able to reflash to 1.9? My drive is a lite on 93450c and i dont have the dvd key because the guy who did it for me is now closed. Thanks for any help.

that should do the trick.

off-topic; how did i ever miss the diy pmt probe... that appears to be the diy almost zero cost alternative to the mra hack..... well, i'll be making a pmt probe this weekend just for fun. see how that works

Probe will do the trick, trust me from experience....it's not that hard to make I made one in like 15 mins out of an old Xbox 360 DVD drive power cable, a push button switch from radio shack, and a large safety pin. Here's the link to the instructions.
