is there a way to get a key for an xbox which has had its key wiped??

does it boot games now? If so yes. If you get play DVD, you have a brick. Or you can install the reset glitch to pull the cpu key.

no mate it says error 74, i bought a new one since but wondered if there was a way to get the key of the motherboard now

E74 is not a lost key error. It is a hardware error usually the GPU.

yea first you need to fix it and you will be able to get the dvdkey,for why you need it,,
