Hi, I'm new to this game and thought I had sucesfully flashed yesterday, well I had I went from iX1.5 to LT1.1 using the dummy from iX option in jungle flasher. I have the resulting files saved. I did this as someone else had flashed my drive and I do not have the original files. This worked fine so I'm now on LT1.1
Alas I thought this was the latest version and well it's not.
So can I go through the flash process again with the files dummied from iX or will I have to perform the MRA hack.
I have tried to figure out as much as possible so far. but now I am having to ask for help.
You can use your dummy.bin file to reflash your drive, but be sure to keep it safe from now on otherwise you may have to do the mra method if you cant get key with a probe v2. But hopefully we will never have to upgrade again :) after lt+1.1.
CD's get lost, scratched broken, and even if the CD is still usable, whats not to say, there isnt a microscopic scratch, on the cd, changing a few bits of the Dummy.bin file?
it's completely possible, i personally emailed it zipped with the MD5 of the zip, to two different email accounts, and i uploaded it to my Skydrive also
you can never be too careful, with DVDFirmware, or your DVD Key

Same here.
On everyone's drive I've flashed, there is a sticker on the underside of the drive with a MegaUpload link to their original firmware and custom firmware. So whether they bring it back to me, learn to flash on their own, or have someone else re-flash, there shouldn't be a problem.
