Mass Effect 2 backup troubles

So, I made backup copies of my ME2 discs with wxripper months ago. Now that I've lost disc 2 of the original (xD), I thought I'd use my backup copies. Now, I'm aware I'm using out-dated firmware, but I don't play online so using the Activation disc has always worked. But every time I go to put in the second disc, it tells me it (the backup copy) is not the correct disc. What should I do to fix this? I had the same problem with my burned (albeit pirated) 2-disc copy of Forza Motorsport 3.

Yeah someone touch in on this because I had to do the same thing with Forza 3. I had to go back and use my original 2nd disc.
