I'm waiting for that answer as well. It looks like we should have a real end user comparison here in the next few weeks.
"All drives should be updated to Lite Touch + (LT+) firmware if playing on XBOX live. Samsung drives and pre-78/79 Hitachi drives do not utilize AP 2.5. All other drives are considered to be detectable by Microsoft (YMMV). Make sure all rips are ABGX verified, contain SSv2, and patched AP2.5 (where needed). XGD3 must currently be burned on new drive with PC Burner Max firmware for 100% rip. All modded consoles can be potentially unsafe for use on XBOX live."

I have the lizard and it's awesome. Overall cheaper after you consider you need an xtractor for the TeamX model (unless they've changed this). You can use your xbox or an xtractor with the lizard. Plus it has a cool lcd screen. Does the teamx tool require JF to work?

it is nice to see that TX has given full credit to maximus for the scorpion probe technique, that being said xecuter is to release there own probe(CK probe III) that may be a little easier to use, but if you tack that on to the price(there has been no mention that it will be included)and also the power source which i like very much with the lizard, the long cord and eject button makes the entire process very easy, you will most likely end up spending more money for the TX product. Now lets get down to the software, the lizard toolbox is completely idiot proof, it allows any noob to become a master of what a lot of us has been doing for years in a matter of 2 or 3 flashes, the toolbox is much more user friendly that JF, and the lcd screen on the lizard tells you step by step what to do, so there is no question of but "how do i do this" because somebody was too lazy to read the tutorial. As a long time xecuter user, i give my vote to the lizard!

wrong answer, the lizard gets power from the usb port, the scorpion probe gets power from the drive board, not at all similar to the ck3!

Sorry I'll rephrase my question how do I get power to the xbox 360 dvdrom when using the Lizard as I dont see a molex connector with the kit I got

its the same as the x360usb pro you have to get a CK3 Pro/CK3 Lite in order to power the drive

Ah ok just that my supplier quoted that a power adapter is included in the kit ,all I see is a switch so could I use the actual 360 for my power source?

i think you can..for those with the x306usb pro can you use the 360 as a power source and then connect the sata cable to the x360usb pro PCB and connect that to the computer?

you do not need a ck3 to power your drive the kit comes with an extension cable about 2 feet long with an on and off switch and an eject button, you use the 360 to power the drive, with the long cable you do not have to leave it in the box you can set it out on the floor and then use the switches provided to power the drive on and off and eject.
