Hi
Just putting elite back together following flashing procedure. Unfortunately the little flap covering the USB conections came off and I can't get it back in place. I've got the flap and the tiny spring but can't figur out how to restore it.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Gracias

This happens to a lot of faceplates. They are made of cheap plastics, and usually it's hard if not impossible to fix them. There might have been a little piece of plastic that broke off that holds the spring in place. If so, consider it a small loss. It's not going to effect the performance of the 360.

yea they break and wont go back on, happens a lot. you can sometimes put it back together but only if the plastic didnt actually break. its tricky and the spring is a pain to put back.

If you send me questions on Live about modding or anything related i will block you. Dont be an idiot.

This happened to me as well, I've seen them on ebay and you can buy an oem cover for around 5-10 bucks. For the meantime I have either just left the plastic cover off or just tape it from the inside so it appears fine.

It hasn't bothered me enough to get a replacement yet.

it doesn't serve much of a purpose other than aesthetic. and if you keep something in the usb slot a lot then it really doesn't matter as it stays open anyway.

Many thanks

I know this must seem like the most trivial issue next to the next wave ban etc etc.
