Okay, so i have a lite on drive, one that required the probe. I have CK3 PRO, Probe, VIA Satachipset and all. I hooked the drive up to my computer, it read fine, i extracted and saved the files it prompted me to save. I followed Leerage's tutorial (which are awesome by the way) and I get to the part where i must lite-on Erase, i click it, i click yes twice, power off power on, and i got an error where it wouldnt go into vendor mode, i tried to LO erase a couple more times, still nothing, now JF doesnt even recognize my drive, other programs so no flash chip detected, Iprep wont load the FW that JF prompted me to save, and im in a hellofa bunch here.
your not out of luck. you will probably have to use dosflash in order to write the FW back onto the drive. i've had to do this several times. read through the 'my lite-on doesnt eject after erasing' thread for details on it.
