Is there anybody in Minnesota that offers Xbox 360 mod service? Reputable sources please, I don't want any shady modding business going down.
Also, once my Xbox is modded will I be able to play new games like Fallout: New Vegas and Gears of War 3 without having to update anything?
Oh and I live in the Anoka area so it'd be cool if you point me to someone who lives around here but I'm willing to drive out to Minneapolis or St. Paul or whatever.
It's really not that hard to do yourself, if it's just flashing the drive you are wanting and not a jtag mod, which is slightly more technical. As for playing new games yes you will be able to play all new games up to wave 6 with either the ixtreme LT or ixtreme 1.61 firmware. There may be future games you can not play with out either an activation disc or moddifing the iso with software on your pc before burning the image.
Flashing your drive is fairly easy and even if you have to buy in connectivity kits and probes its still probably cheaper then shelling out for someone to do it, especially if your going to keep your firmware up to date.
Jungleflasher is the program you want and their tutorial is what you should read, plus there are a bunch of guides on here that are very helpful.

Well I have a Lite-on drive and I suck with technical computer stuff like the probe thing. And it is in no way cheaper to buy the probe then to have the service done. It costs $30-40 bucks for a probe same amount people charge to have mod your Xbox for you.
Cheaper if you can do it in the long run though, say there are another 4 new waves or detection methods on LIVE, then you have to go see this guy everytime, 4 x $30 is $120.
and no-one can answer your question about if you can play GOW3 of FO:NV as they arent even out yet and who knows whats going to be on those discs. that would be like asking, will my 360 be able to play ps2 games next summer.
Come talk with us on efnet at #elitemods !!! or just click ME
ALSO, DO NOT SEND ME MESSAGES ON LIVE REGARDING MODDING CONSOLES, OR HOW I PLAYED A CERTAIN GAME EARLY. I WILL NOT RESPOND. I WILL INSTEAD DELETE YOUR MESSAGE, AND BLOCK ALL COMMUNICATION FROM YOU. JUST SEND ME A PM ON HERE.
Nice! PS2 games on my 360? Too bad I have to wait until next summer...
Just kidding, anyways someone told me that when new games come out that I wouldn't have to take apart my Xbox to be able to play them, that there were other ways of updating it after it's modded. Why would I have to re-flash it?

FYI, the latest FW (LT1.1) does wave-less booting so it should boot all copies of all future games, the reason the previous firmware versions didn't was so you didn't accidentally boot a disk with an incorrect wave / patched disk and get yourself banned.
