Yes, its recommend if you ever want to play online preferably with the SSv2. If you don't plan on playing online then you don't need to stealth patch at all, just rip and burn.

1) With Xbox Backup Creator and a Kreon drive: you'll have to patch games with SSv2 for online play.
2) With Xbox Backup Creator and a spare Xbox 360 drive: you can rip the game with SSv2 already intact.
