if i flash my sammy ms28 with xtreme800 firmware i'll be able to use it to make backups yes? Bt can i connect the drive to my pc without a connectivity kit? Like in the last post in this link? forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/179892

You're gonna need a connectivity kit to power the drive.

I have a BenQ inside my PC. This is what I did:
Cut off the legs of the drive.
Cut off the metal humps that cover the legs.
Mounted a cheap $20 connectivity kit to the rear of the drive with double-sided tape.
Mounted the BenQ in the PC with double-sided tape.
