that game doesnt show up as AP2.5 yet. MS can force a update and enable that check at any time. AP2.5 doesn't have to be only certain waves. It's been on every game for years, just the xbox is not checking for it on every game yet. example. Call of Duty BO is wave 6 and AP2.5 enabled.
And no, theres no work around for AP2.5 with out LT+, that ive read or heard about.

I think people are just assuimg new games will have AP2.5 enabled, and its been pasted around so much it has became true. So far it seems even BulletStorm is a new Wave 10 and still no AP2.5 enabled yet. that could change at any time.

sssilver, also remember that if you have a Samsung console that they are incapable of checking for AP2.5 ...throw in some Hitachis as well.
"All drives should be updated to Lite Touch + (LT+) firmware if playing on XBOX live. Samsung drives and pre-78/79 Hitachi drives do not utilize AP 2.5. All other drives are considered to be detectable by Microsoft (YMMV). Make sure all rips are ABGX verified, contain SSv2, and patched AP2.5 (where needed). XGD3 must currently be burned on new drive with PC Burner Max firmware for 100% rip. All modded consoles can be potentially unsafe for use on XBOX live."

ok, i'm kinda confused, so here is a simple question:
should/can i play mvc3 right now (no online multiplayer mode)?
i have just LT (not LT+), and no kinect dash board update (i don't want to upgrade to the newest dashboard).

I always recommend people use the latest firmware. But if your willing to risk it you should be OK. LT wasn't dectectable and LT+ was created to fight AP2.5. So if the game boots i would think you would be ok. But still. LT+ is the better idea.

Even if a game doesn't have AP2.5, can you patch it with AP2.5 anyway just in case it might be updated in the future?

@htorihpeS
no beacuse noone has made the PPF-O-Matic patches with the AP2.5 sector data
When a new AP2.5 game are discovered team-xecuter make a PPF patches with the AP2.5 sector data and the abgx team update their program with the sector data so its automatically patched when you ask it to test a AP2.5 enabled game

Oh you were talking to me when you said that? Fact is AP2.5 has been around for a long time, starting with Fifa09 in 2009. Just the dash wasn't useing the checks build in. Weither or not the dash is doing ap2.5 check on certain games doesn't mean its not there.
C4EVA analyzed the Xbox LIVE checks on FIFA09 today after the news of the possible activation of AP2.5
http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49197
Same reason everyone had to reburn COD:BO because of AP2.5. The dash wasn't inforcing it, so they didnt extract it. not untill the dash update when ap2.5 was enabled on the game did they decide to extract that.
^^ This.
