MW2 giving RROD's?

My xbox got banned recently. It had the benq ixtreme 1.61 firmware. Anyways, the thing is that it was working fine until yesterday. I was playing MW2 level 3 and suddenly the console freezed. I restarted it and got the rrod. Now I am done for. But is it me or are some people getting rrod from mw2?
I was looking in youtube for the rrod penny fix video and saw that several people has had problems with mw2.
Here are some of the comments :-
mw2 just fucked my xbox, she been running over 2 yrs no problem 1 day with this game and she fucked. got to be somthing in the update
mw2 fuked my xbox up last night.. was working fine before, 3 days of gameplay nd it fucd up.. WTF!
i got the rings on my elite after 3 days of mw2...
Its no fucking coincidence look in comments in every video about the red rinds and ul see at least 5 people saying that it was mw2 that gave ghem the ring i bet by the next 2 weeks ther wil be acouple thousands with red rings from mw2
same with me. i was playing mw2 it froze and i got the red rings when i tried to turn it back on

I have to be honest, both mine and my sons xBox's were banned one day after another - and they BOTH went RROD a few days later. I repaired both consoles, and then within a matter of days they both have burned out lasers. So those two consoles that I thought I was going to be able to use still for playing backups are both toes up until I get parts to replace the laser lenses.
Mind you, I was playing backup copies of MW2 on these. Coincidence I'm sure, but an uncanny one at that.

Yeah Microsoft h4xx3d you guyz and now you get teh red ringz of deth.
Let's be honest guys, do you really think microsoft would put it into a game to ruin a console?

With Mikeismad on this one, M$ wouldnt dare risk RROD'ing a console. If they were found out, they would lost millions & their reputation.

MW2 is probably using the most resources compared to every other game out there. This happened when halo 3 launched and the nxe. I wouldn't be surprised if the added hardware usage causes the xbox to heat up.
Though if it rrod'd a jasper then you have something to talk about. All the other consoles i would expect problems from sooner or later.

nah they're coming into everyone's houses while they sleep and are breaking your box, it'll stop at xmas when they give santa the reindeers back so don't worry it'll all be over soon lol

same for me folks.... my xbox had been working fine for the last 2.5 yrs (yep....pretty old console) without a single hint of a problem.... but it froze as soon as MW2 started the 1st mission.... and after 3rd hard-boot due to this freezing, it showed me RROD :(

Huh... you were playing a game and your consold red ringed, you say. Well no $hit it would crap out while you were playing a game. So what if it was during MW2.
When else would you expect it too? Do you think as soon as it's ready to die that it'll turn itself on, make a couple loud beeps to get your attention, then show a message that at 17 Nov., 2009 @ 00:45 it was programmed to red ring?
Of course not. If it's going to red ring it's going to be while you're using it. And it doesn't matter which game you were playing. What if you were playing H3 and it ringed. Why don't you search YouTube for comments on H3 causing red rings and see what you get. Come on, lets use some common sence.
