It's been modded since November. All regular games load up perfectly fine. But now all my copied games get stuck on "reading". I've blown the system out with compressed air andu sed a DVD lens cleaner, but no go. I have iXtreme 1.6

+1, it sounds like your laser is slowly dying. First I would recommend cleaning it with a q-tip and some lens cleaner, then if that fails move of to the POT Calibration.
I am completely unexpierenced in going inside the xbox, a friend modded it for me. Is it hard to go in and clean the lens? And my dad is a bit..tight on these things, so I would like to be sure cleaning the laser and possibly recalibrating it will fix the problem for a while
Cleaning the laser is the "might as well give it a try" fix that in reality never really works but is free and easy, so worth trying in the event that it actually does something.
The pot calibration tweak is the thing that will get some more life out of your 360's DVD laser. The only thing is that a multimeter is a must for this to be done, and they will run you about $15 if you don't own one or can't borrow one.
Both tweaks are pretty easy to do with the right tools. The problem is getting the case of the 360 open. That is the most difficult part of the operation, to tell you the truth.
