I bought an hdmi console still under warranty from someone who had attempted to mod it themselves but they blew out a voltage regulator. Rather than desolder parts myself I opted to send it in. The Warranty sticker on the outside was missing and the lite-on drive sticker was cut through. I put the one from my elite on the outised and crossed my fingers.

Lo and behold! I received a brand spanking new 360 console in the mail that was manufactured a couple of weeks ago! They also sent me a free month of XBOX live. Woohoo! M$ is great in my books. :D

"All drives should be updated to Lite Touch + (LT+) firmware if playing on XBOX live. Samsung drives and pre-78/79 Hitachi drives do not utilize AP 2.5.
