My Flashed 360 is making a loud noise

I recently go my xbox 360 lite on drive flashed. my xbox is much louder than it was before i got it flashed. it also makes a really loud grinding noise whenever a disc is inside which doesnt seem to go away even when im in the middle of a game. the 360 also has a lasery type of noise to it. ever since i got it flashed the disc tray makes a loud noise whenever i open or close it..its not the loudest xbox in the world but it was silent even when games were playing before i got it flashed..now its always making that grinding noise. btw i got back this 360 from microsoft around april 09 .it was manufactured in september 2008 (my old one got 3 RED LIGHTS)any help would be appreciated.. thanks

whoever flashed it for you swapped your drive for a junk one. if i were you i would be beating down their door.

after mine was flashed, mine was also louder, but only on the backed up games. The originals still play normally.So, I do not believe whomever flashed it switched your drives. Not sure why these two posters immediately jumped to that. But try to see if it is only louder when playing backed up games.

i tested that by putting in the original call of duty 4 but it this problem was still happening (scratching/grinding noise and loud noise..the noise doesnt seem to go away even in the middle of a game..i also tested a dvd movie and in the menu whenever i selected an option like subtitles on it made a small grinding noise for everytime i select an option
