i have done a x clamp fix on a rrod e74 xbox360 i bought it from my friend for 10 bucks never opened or modified after i "fixed" it i did a full sweap with the case fan and heating all of it but yet i still get rrod im currently trying to find some electrical tape to try the penny trick also because half the time my rrod is followed by 2 rings (overheating) but it is not i found out i was missing ram pads any help i redid the x clamp fix 7 times and im getting sick of doing it over also i used this repair guide to a fine T guide download

edit it also now has 3rrod not 1 so its not e74 anymore i also noticed my friend had dropped it on the fans once so a blade is missing from the right side is that okay to have?
did a test for the error code its 0103
please help

e74; 0102; 0103 etc. needs a reflow (heatgun or so) on gpu to hana chip area. if you make sure you cover the gpu and area around it, it will work just fine. xclamp fix.... well; it might do more harm then good. i prefer to put the original xclamps back, but the choice is yours. penny fix.... well, it all work in the very short run. but it will do more harm then good. i wouldn't suggest the penny fix....
one blade missing; well not a very big problem. ram pads missing, not any problem at all. i almost always forget to put the ram pads back, never broke down on me only because it was missing ram pads..

Make sure there's enough pressure on the GPU heatsink for 0103. You should probably do some sort of a reflow first. When it gets the 2 red lights what error code do you get for that?

Consoles:

XBOX360 Falcon console with Lite-On 74850C

PS3 80gb phat model with 120gb hdd

PS3 60gb model

PS3 modded on 3.55

btw;
the 2 red lights mean you didn't do the xclamp fix right. if you tighten one side more than the other side, the pressure isn't equal over the whole cooler. then it will overheat. make sure all the screws are tightenend equally. if you have the correct amount of washers between the cooler and mainboard, you can tighten all screws all the way (unless you have very long screws, than they will go straight through the gpucooler).

penny trick? You've got to be kidding. That will only destroy the board by flexing and cracking more solder. Reflow and use Flux.
