hi im new to afterdawn fourms i have a question when i go to turn off my xbox the fan stays on and the light blinks? and am i getting the rrod because my xbox is super loud? please help

That usually happens when you're downloading stuff from xbox live. the console will remain in a low power state to complete the download. If you're not downloading anything, then the console prob just needs to be opened and cleaned because its prob being choked by dust on the heatsinks. lol The amount of xboxes I've had apart and have been gross inside with all the dust and crap... >.< Doesn't hurt to give it a clean once in a while. lol
