hello everyone, I want to begin by saying that this is the first time I have asked for help on this site, after nearly exhausting myself on researching countless threads I have summoned up enough courage to ask for help.
my issue is this,
I have three xbox's, up to last week I had only 1, but because I trusted a local repairman in my town, he managed to do quite a hackjob on my and my extendend family's xbox's I was pretty much left with 3 non operating systems, and a huge headache to boot having to sort out all of the damages done to the consoles. I was able to take all 3 xbox's in to another more trusted repairman who was able to only get 2 back and running and costing me 150 dollars in repairs. Aside from the costs & the grief my extended family members want me to pay for 2 new consoles although I felt that it and pretty sh*tty on their behalf considering they took as much as a risk in trusting this guy as I did.
anyways heres my question.
1. first console arcade originally came with samsung drive, replaced with hitachi (spoofed with LT. 1.1) does not have the newest update from microsoft.
2. second console pro original benq replaced with another benq has LT 1.0
does not have the newest update from microsoft.
ok my question is this,
being that the first console has been replaced with a different drive (hitachi) and spoofed what exactly has to be done to it in order for it to have the newest update aswell as the newest firmware coming out (LT 1.9, LT 2.0) given the information provided. keep in mind however flashed my xbox doesnt have the original keys anymore)
the second question
if all i did was replace the drive on the second console with the exact kind of drive (benq for a benq) will it be safe to proceed with flashing back to stock than accepting update than reflasing with LT 1.9 LT 2.0? will this process work OR completly brick my console?
all in all I DO APPRECIATE ANY FEEDBACK ANYONE HAS TO OFFER ON THIS MATTER, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS, I LOOK FORWARD TO ANY OF YOUR RESPONSES.
THANK YOU AGAIN,
STEVE.
1. All you gotta do is buy a samsung drive and flash back to stock firmware. You can read the key from the drive and flash Samsung OFW firmware and then update!
2. Going from any drive to another drive of the same kind is perfectly fine, no spoofing there. Flashing back to stock will be a-ok in this situation and you'll be good to go for the update :)
