ok so i got banned...but im gonna swap out my buddies console for mine and his is a unflashed sammy...it has all the updates now even the twitter/netflix stuff im sure...ok so...would it be smart to flash the sammy and like...be extra cautious and like.....never go on live again till someone figures a fix for this wave or is that just a retarded thought and no matter what if i flash the drive it will eventually get flagged/banned because ive read someone saying that once the updates are there the dashboard update it pretty much just reports it to the console and waits till it ever does get connected to send to m$ and banhammer? any insight?

Dude Its simple Mod your box = Chance of bieng Banned

Not modding = No Ban

Its up to you to decide if its worth it or not

yea theres a chance of being banned..but no one really knows how they are doing this im wondering if the new updates sorta flags it and just...thats it you're banned or...if theres some way to still play with ixtreme and hold out till theres some..sort of ixtreme patch or newer version...i dunno really

c4eva has said that its not the firmware so in theroy if you reflash and only play originals you wont get bannede

thanks for the advice/information i read into what you wrote about that c4ever guy and what he says and read they seem to be sending some sort of probe directly tot he xbox to check for flash so im gonna just flash it...leave it unplugged and cross my fingers until its sorted =) thanks again

How don't see how it can't be the firmware as there are quite a few bannings on people who've played a couple old games.

I'd say at this time, you are almost guaranteed to get banned if you connect now.
