Need help flashing a samsung ms25 please

i have a dell demision 4700 with a Intel 2580 rev 4 chipset and a samsung ms25 dvd drive. i do have a sata cable on my hard drive in the comp, but when i go threw iprep the software dont find the sata it only finds the ide cables. any suggestions?

Not all mobo's with sata are good as I believe that intel boards are pretty much zero chance. Your best bet is to buy that via sata addon card.

Give Jungle Flasher a try before you buy the card. You might have to mess with some SATA settings in the BIOS.

i was trying jungle flasher but it couldnt find the drive. im pretty sure i done everything right but no luck

Seems like i had this problem at one point in time. I had sata ports but the way my old mobo was they weren't showing up as sata in windows but ide. but i figured out which ports they were and just selected those in iprep and i believe i got it to work.
