Ok I have a couple of questions. The first is I have a xbox 360 the want read games but will dvds and the disc drive in it is a BenQ. If i buy another BenQ can i just change out the cards in them an them work? and another is i already have a samung drive. will it work in it?

Do not attempt to swap the BenQ & Samsung PCB's, you will fry both drives.

TBH, it sounds to me like you may have had a bad flash and no longer have the correct drive key flashed to your drive. When did this problem start happening? Has anyone flashed your DVD drive before? What is the history of this Xbox?

it hasnt ever been flashed or modded. it just quit reading disc all i want is to get it back work so i can play game. the easiest and cheap way.

get the key off and buy a same drive and flash it with the key

its the BenQ drive. could i not just buy another BenQ an swap the card in them without flashing them? cause i have no clue how to flash.

ive seen videos and read somewhere that if you buy another benq to replace your benq then all you need to do to have it working is to swap the boards in it and you dont have to flash it. i really need to know if its true so i can order one.

you can swap PCB but you dont want to. you have desolder some stuff, and resolder in the new board. read through this for how to flash your benq drive here
