So i have a benq drive and have flashed it no problems. I have also done samsung drives no problem. But I opened up a friends xbox and he has a lite on drive. I keep reading how in order to get the key like i did on my benq you have to use a spear or probe. Im not doing that, so i found a site that is a modding service that will. Its called emods.net. I just want to know if someone has used them and if they are legit

Is it the 74850C Lite-ON or the 83850C Lite-ON?

If it is the 83850C Lite-ON, it does not require the Probe.

Besides flashing a lite-on with a spear is a frikin sinch. Put the little metal thing in the hole and press Get Key and your set.

I don't know what the big deal is.

You know you guys are a bunch of whimps...back in my day we used to have solder modchips...don't even get me started on the D2CKey for the wii :D

I would say just suck it up and do it yourself...you'll have the pretty cheap spear and you'll be able to do lite-ons from now on.

Seriously after your first one lite-ons are as easy as apple pie.

Newbies read too much into "for Lite-On you need additional hardware", and panic sets in.

With a probe, a Lite-On is just as easy to do as the others.

where do you buy the probe? and how do i tell which one it is? If i have the version that does not need the probe what guide do I follow to flash it. I would prefer to use jungle flasher but if something out there exist that is easier please let me know

And you tell which version it is by opening up the Xbox and seeing which firmware revision it is.
