i got a new box that was jtagged @least the connections are there how would i go about updating or @ least finding out what's on it??? it has dash 8955 and i'm not seeing any thing relavent on google thanks !!

LOL, not finding anything? You have to dump the nand, then use google.

download and burn the xexmenu disc, put it in your 360 and see if it can run it. If it loads XeXmenu then you have a JTAG. If it is JTAGed your running XBR and should update to FreeBOOT. READ HERE

lol well i figured out that if you power up w/ the open tray button it's boots into free60 but we havn't sat down and actualy tried to play with it yet

Reading through the other posts, it seems that you have a JTAG'd unit. IMO, the best program to update 8955 to the kinect dash is called "best pig toolbox". It will get you up to date on the dashboard anyway.
