anyone else get it to boot? mine wont boot at all not even with the one shoot boot disc,i ran through abgx360 and its now in the system,i wasted 2 coasters thinking it was my media

It should work with the boot disc. Just eject the boot disc when the dash says Play DVD and put in your game.

I have the same issue. All other W4 games are working fine using activate.iso, but GTA4 Episodes is a no-go. I've ripped it twice, ran it thru abgx and I am using a Benq drive. No good! I just rented the retail copy and I'm going to rip it with my kreon drive to see if maybe it was just a bad torrent. doubtful about that since i know from many others that this torrent worked.

Mines working, I burnt it befor abgx had the patch out and i'm using the boot disk.
Does abgx just patch it so you can play online? but you still need the boot disk? right?

so mines probably not stelth patch which should be ok along as i dont go online?
What does the boot disk/activation disk do? does it just boot the wave 4 game?

Nope, the "just don't go online" thing is a myth. The general consensus is that your 360 logs the errors it experiences and reports them as soon as it logs back on the internet.
Yes, the activate disc is for wave 4 games.

I am not familiar with this exact patch, but potentially, yes. Nobody can know for sure, but playing games that haven't been run through ABGX is a big-time no-no.

Thats crap, ABGX only patches or fixes a bad rip. IF the rip is good and its the same verified copy thats in the database then you know for sure its a good copy.
Even if it is not the verified copy you should be ok as long as the original rip is good.

The poster I was replying to asked if he should apply the patch to the game. The very fact that there was a patch at all tells me that there must be a reason for it. Would you advise him against patching the game, then?

abgx360 stealth patches the game so you can play it online without getting banned,
I burnt my game befor abgx360 had the update out so that mean game its not stealth patched and i can get banned even if i dont play it onine because a log is created?
