Are you talking about upgrading to a non-official Hard Disc Drive or are you talking about using a new DVD drive and flashing it. They are two different things.

I'm sorry i got a new DVD drive and i would like to flash it it's a Toshiba tsh943a and i have no idea of what I'm doing like you can tell from my first post lol so if anyone could please help me that would be great

First, are you going online with this console? If you are, wait until C4E puts out new firmware for all the drives. In addition, if you are going online, you need the exact same model drive as your original.

I know you can spoof a drive as another one. However, if he is goign online he will be baned if he does this. I wanted to be sure I am giving him the proper advice before I say anything else.

bought from this crowd a pre-mod new 360,option to switch dvd-rom with a benq or it may have been a lite-0n back in 08 on an 08 model 360,i think a sammy was the original drive that was in it
