New system update released today (11th Oct.)

Sometime during the early morning hours tomorrow (Pacific Time, Tuesday, October 11th) we are pushing out a mandatory system update. If you are signed into LIVE already, you may be signed out. Once the update has been completed, you’ll be able to sign-in again and back online in a few moments.
This is a general system maintenance update and there are no new features that will show up once your system has been updated.
Needless to say, don't install this on a flashed console until it's known to be safe.

Yeah it is 13604.0. It does the update in 2 updates. The first is a small download then it updates fast and restarts, then downloads a larger update and restarts again. So I would think the first (fast) update is a flash of the drive in the system.

How long do you think C4 will be to respond to the update? I just tried to turn on the console and saw the update so I'm holding back on it right now.

I didn't update flashed system yet, waiting on new drive to arrive. Updated my none flashed system. I wonder why it updates in 2 parts.

I bet they're setting up for the KILL. You know they're not just gonna sit back and let their precious COD3 get man handled.
Could the first part of the flash be the "erase" part?

Just to clarify. Updated dash with lt2.0 without going back to stock. All games work fine including xgd3 backups. Checked secdata with xval and all is clean...

Which means nothing. Xval is worthless if you are flagged on server side.

It doesn't mean "nothing". It means you haven't been flagged client side, which is still useful information, cos if people were getting flagged offline after installing a new dashboard update then I'd want to know about it, wouldn't you?

installed my update about two hours ago, all good on this side. havent tested Gears 3 yet, so i will wait and see...
