Yeah a great week for the mod scene. I don't know if I'll bother modding my PS3 though. I'm not good with modchips. Though if Sony can't detect it on PSN, it might be worth doing. The PS3 has some kick ass exclusives and but most multi games play better on 360. 1tb hard disk plus modchip = win. The fact that you can just install games and don't need the disc makes this better than the 360's hack.

Double fail, Yes you can, its called the JTAG hack
I reckon personally the PS3 hack wont be as good because its unlikely that the games you download from newsgroups / torrernt wont work, they are missing important parts of data. You will have to have the original game to copy to your drive.

Yea, but if the PS3 hack is actually true you won't be needing a new drive to back the games up, so no Kreon needed. And you don't have to open the box, so warranty is still active. I love my 360 but the hack voiding the warranty sucks.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Halo Reach has been leaked from Microsft's servers. I read this on N4G. I don't know where it can be downloaded yet though or if the modders will release it to the public or not. An exceptionally early leak considering nearly a month before the game releases. Here's a link to the article: http://www.industrygamers.com/news/halo-...osoft-servers/. A very nice week for modders.

I know of the JTAG hack but that is more complicated to do and very limited to certain 360s depending on dashboard. In regard to the usb pen, I was ignorant to that and thought soldering would need to be done. However, downloading large game files is the problem. For example, MGS4 is 50gb in size. Though still useful for multiplatform games that wouldn't take up as much space.

Not really. Just put the sticker back on and it's back in warranty. I've sent over 20 modded consoles in and got repaired. All they care about is the damn stickers.
