I've been searching for info about this activate.iso method, and while I have learned HOW to do it, I still have several questions about it. BTW I have the liteon 1.6.
Very first question: Where can i find a reliable activate.iso file (specifically used for playing wave 4 games) (PS: I don't think providing me a link is against the rules, but if it is, could you at least tell me where to go or what to look for? Everytime i do a search for it, I find results dating back to 8 or more months ago that have nothing to do with playing wave 4 games. I want a reliable activate.iso file that is specific for playing wave 4 games. *if there IS even a specific one?* )
2. I've read something that says this lets you play games unstealthed. Wouldnt that be bad? I know there is always a chance of being banned, but will using the activate.iso method dramatically increade my chances of being banned. (I do play online)
3. Can/should I still run the game through ABGX? The only reason I'm asking is because from my understanding, ABGX will stealth patch and verify the game, however, I read (it may be incorrect info) using the activate.iso method runs your game without stealh.
4. Will there be any other consequences to using the activate.iso method to play wave 4 games? I still want to play wave 3 and under. And EVENTUALLY I will find someone that can take apart my box and update the FW to 1.61 (or 1.6a or whatever) or an even newer one (if there is a newer one at that date). So the activate.iso method wont prevent me from updating my actual firmware in the future correct? Basically I just intend to use this as a temporary solution. (The only reason I dont update my FW now is because I dont have the tool to open my xbox, and I dont feel confident enough to do it myself. ESPECIALLY if the proccess is similar to the initial flashing of the liteon drive.)

This was posted on another thread, but it's what I followed to make the activate.iso and it works just fine! Just make sure you follow the steps like it says:
I personally don't know about it playing the game unstealthed, I've heard something like that, but I don't know if it's true or not.
If you're worried about being banned, then yes I would check all your games with ABGX before you go playing them. On Wave 4 games it will show some crap with the PFI, that's normal, cause they haven't updated the software for ABGX360.
If you're the type of person that doesn't want to get banned, you may just want to wait until the 1.61 iXtreme is released for the Liteon, because we can't guarantee that you will be safe or not with the activate.iso. It's all do at your own risk!
But I've been playing online with it just fine, and I'm still on Live, but again I don't care if M$ bans me!
4: Now open up Activate.iso with any burning software you use. (I.E. Imgburn, Clonecd, etc? I personally use Imgburn? )
5: Now in your burning program go into your write setting tab and make sure your layerbreak is set to the Calculate Optimal setting. Also check your booktype for DVD+R DL and make sure its on the DVD-ROM setting and that your write speed is at 2.4x.
6: Start Burn!
7: As soon as the burn starts a message will pop saying, ?that the image is small enough for a regular DVD R, do you want to continue anyway??
(You wanna choose yes because burned to a regular DVDR the Activate.iso wont work!!!)
8: Next another message will pop saying, ?even though the image is small enough to fit into one layer its best to write in both layers, do wou wanna go away from the norm and write in only one layer?? (Now I wanna stress?READ THIS MESSAGE CAREFULLY!!!!)
Choosing ?Yes? will cause all data to be wrttin into the first layer.
Choosing ?No? will cause data to be writing into both layers.
CHOOSE Yes!!
9: It will burn then finish?
10: Insert the Activate.iso disk into your xbox 360. It will read for a little longer than usual then finally it will say ?Play DVD?. Press ?A? on your controller and a video should pop saying, ?Play this disk in an xbox 360 console?.
This is how you know you?ve burned the iso sucessfully!!
11: Now just eject the Activate.iso disk and insert your unstealthed, modified or Hybrid disk and it will load!!!
