i just flashed my hitachi 59, with jungleflash and iextreme1.5. flash was complete. i didnt rip any of myown games. i got one off the net, and it passed abgx all the way. but when i try to play game, it says open tray. i tried the hotswap method, regular copy to modded copy, and it says disc needs cleaning.
any idea of what to do.

i burned disc using imgburn at max 4x

sorry, i left out the extrA 1. i do have the 1.51, but how can i check afterwards, if the firmware is up to date. i wanna be sure that the flash actually did happen. i read in another post, that although jungle flash says complete, it still may not have done so
My buddy flashed his old Hitachi finally. First few days the Memorex discs he had worked fine but then started giving him disc errors. He tried Verbatims and they work so seems those old drives get mighty cranky.

AFAIK, there is not 1.5 for hitachi's anyway. It went from 1.4 to 1.51
