I've been given an xbox to look at that i flashed with 1.51 back earlier this year. It has a sh*tachi DVD drive and when flashed worked fine.

Now apparently after playing a retail copy of Fifa 10 it won't play any backed up games old or new but any retail is fine????????? This has stumped me some what and searching the net i can't find a similar post with this issue.

It's not that Fifa 10 did anything to it. Most likely the laser is going out and it only became noticeable after playing that game. Eventually it won't read retail games anymore either. You can try cleaning the lens, but if that doesn't help swap the laser or drive.
