Careful -- currently only the PAL version is posted online, AFAIK. It is not region free. Just FYI.

Really? Not to hijack this dudes thread but.. there are currently 3 coplies of that game up there as you know.. are they all Pal? Only 1 has comments, and the other 2 say the source is pal, but no comments. Do these guys make the games Region free after ripping? Or do they get the discs from another region entirely?
Well, theres actuallt 2 questions there .. the reason Im asking is because im grabbing one now to see if it is region free, if not I will leave a comment. It's gonna take me 3 hours to download though.

I don't have access to any registration-required NZB sites, so I can't say about those specific ones. However, I do know that the PAL version posted by DNL (BioShock.2.PAL.XBOX360-DNL) will not play on US machines. I am guessing the other ones posted are dupes of that release and also won't work on NTSC machines.
The region is determined by the disc itself. There is currently no mod or hack to change the region of the game. This may change for homebrew machines in the future, but right now that is how it goes.

Upon further inspection, your assumption is correct, they are all DNL dupes. On the 2nd question.. are you saying the manufacturer actually releases Region Free discs? That's very interesting to know! Thanks.

Yep, that's how it works. All about market segments, I guess.
If you check the ABGX website you can check for yourself whether a certain release is RF/PAL/NTSC/etc. The site is http://www.abgx.net/filename/?ch=6 -- that's the only site I use to check for new releases. Even if it isn't posted there immediately, it will be posted there very shortly after a rip is released.

That's excellent, I didnt know about that site. Previously, I would grab them (3 hours) then pray as I ran them through abgx :-) You just saved me alot of time! My apologies to the original poster in this thread. I didnt mean to hijack. Back on topic, the 2 links we posted in the beginning of this thread will have you well on your way!

In my experience, I have not run across this very often... maybe never. Of course, I don't download every single release.
