Hello everyone.
I am new to the online gaming (XBOX LIVE) since I always played offline, and I have some questions about going online.
I flashed my drive (Liteon 83850C V1) with LT+1.1, but after that I updated to the new dashboard (via USB), and now of course I can't play backups now.
1) When LT+1.9/2.0 will rolling out- it is safe to play on xbox live with those FW?
2) Is there any process should be done to the games before they get burned? Till now I just burned my backups without change the files. I heard about ABGX- is this the process I need to do to the games?
3) I downloaded a software called XVAL- which shows you security "events" that happend in your console- after use this it shows me that I had one AP2.5 challenge on my console. Now, will connecting the console to xbox live will cause my console to be flagged or banned?
Here is the description about the XVAL software:
"The X value is used as a visual indication of security "events". This value is from
a field stored in secdata.bin, offset 0x28 for a length of 8 bytes. It is visually
displayed from dashboard in one of the system info screens. The X value is encrypted
though and this tool will decrypt and display known recorded security events.
The console does not need to be connected to Live to do this procedure. At the same
time this does not guarantee that the console with a "clean" X value has not been
flagged on the server side.
This can be used as a tool to check the status of a second-hand console and be valuable
information in considerations before purchasing. "
4) Do I need to buy xbox live gold/silver or something like that to start playing online?
Your questions answered
1) While LT+1.9 is being for most 360 drives. You should wait for LT+2.0 to be released as wit be fairly safe on xbox live
2) Yes. If you are thinking of playing Xbox Live then all you backups should be patched with abgx to ensure the safety of the games and your console on Xbox Live
3) Does your Xval say Failed AP2.5 Challenge? If it does then your up for a ban the next time microsoft decides to do a ban wave
4) Of course. You must get Xbox Live Gold if you want to play multiplayer. Xbox Live Silver is now the free edition not a seprate paid one. Unless you have a JTAG which then you can use Xlink Kai instead of using Xbox Live
3) You wont get banned now if you connect to live but when microsoft has a ban wave your console will be banned. You can get the AP2.5 flag removed with NAND-X but its a very long process not suited for people who arent good with modding xbox 360s
3) Xlink Kai only works for JTAG consoles and doesnt support the normal xbox 360dashboard
3) Yes is shows me failed ap2.5 challenge. Does it means I'll get ban if I connect the console to live? and is there anything to do with this?
4) Is Xlink Kai is a free access to xbox live or is it another server to play live?
Although you won't be banned if you connect to live (YET), your console will now corrupt any profile that you sign in with on that 360 with the "failed ap2.5 challenge", even offline. Any achievements earned on the console after it failed ap2.5 will go unearned, as when you try to sign in to live with a non flagged console, your profile will be corrupt unless you "recover gamertag" on the non-flagged console. M$ kinda stuck it to a lot of gamers that take their gamerscore seriously. Best thing to do is find somebody with a cheap 360 that is in good working condition. If you can get it for less than $100, and it's a Jasper, grab it. I personally wouldn't pay more that $80 for a Falcon. I wouldn't go over $50 if it's non HDMI. Wait for LT2.0 to come out for your drive. Recover your profile on the newer console, and then flash it with LT2.0. If you want to get that older one off of your hands fast, put it on ebay with no reserve. You might want to include a controller or a game to help it sell. You might be surprised of how much you get out of it. I would be honest as possible with potential buyers. It's not banned (yet), and has the latest dash on it. That kinda rides in your favor. Put a reserve on it. That way, you get the least amount you would take for it, and possibly much more depending on your starting price. If you start the bidding too high, chances are that potential buyers won't bid on it. It's the last 10 seconds of the auction when most of the bidding occurs. Good Luck!
thanks.
I have question- If my profile has been corrupted, and I remove the AP2.5 failed flag and connect to live- Do I still get ban in microsoft ban wave?
