This has been an extremely frustrating past 8 hours.
I'm attempting to flash my DG-16D2S-09c 93450c V2 and JF refuses to recognize the drive's properties.
All traces have been cut clean and verified with a multimeter.
I'm able to get the drive into vendor mode and successfully extract all 4 banks with no problem. However, when it comes time to opening up the OFW.bin in the Firmwaretool32 tab, it keeps giving me the "parse failed" message.
I have extracted the firmware at least 20 times already and "parse failed" pops up everytime.
I am NOT using the LT switch. I'm using DIYGADGET'S solder-less extractor (so it isn't a R/W switch problem). I'm sure once I get the drive to display properties in JF, all will be well ... but why the heck is it not showing up??
pg 145 of the jf tut, describes this error, not the method you used, but perhaps the same type of issue. ie, flash was in r/w (vendor) mode when you read it, not read mode, perhaps is the cause...
Quote:Once the status is 0x72, you can read the key... but before you ready the firmware, you will need to disconnect the pogo pin from point A (black one, connect to GND via resistor), but make sure you still keep point B connected to 3.3V

Are you doing that?
Yes, those are the exact steps I had been doing the entire time I devoted to trying. I also read DIYGadget's entire troubleshooting forum & tutorial (before you suggested it and none of which provided a detailed solution for my problem). Saving directly to the C drive did not work either.
