Patched Down games with LT+?

I used to have a samsung flashed with ixtreme 1.51. But when i upgraded to 1.61, none of my patched down games (wave 5/6 patched down to wave 3) used to work on it. I think it has something to do with strict wave compliance/ no hybrid support or something. Anyway.

I m getting an xbox Lite on model flashed with either LT+ or LT+ 1.1.

My question is: Will the patched down games work with the above firmwares?

Highly doubtful, as the firmware should detect the abnormalities and not allow the backup to boot (for XBL safety). I'm not 100% positive on this. You could always flash the old xtreme 5.3 for the samsung if you're not using this on live. It boots anything regardless of wave. I think you can even boot old xbox backups from a single layer dvd with xtreme 5.3 (read in another thread on these forums).
