WARNING
This will get you banned, only do this if you are already banned or you don't care about xbox live
Patching Guide For WAVE4 Game to WAVE3
Image of tekken 6 run through abgx and showing as wave 3 just to show it works,
Most consoles flashed with ixtreme 1.51 cant play wave 4 games and 1.6 cant play wave 4 games without the activate.iso, if you're on 1.51 (non hitachi) and don't want to upgrade and don't play on live or you've been banned just follow these steps .
What we need ?
ABGX30 Gui v1.0.1
PFI included in the pack
Video.iso included in the pack
Get the pack here

You may also need the latest dashboard update you can find this here

here we go...
1- Select the ISO thats Wave 4
2- On autofix select :
Level 3
Adjust angle 359 for ixtreme 1.4
Fix C/R table if data invalid
Adjust angles that deviate more than 3 degrees from their ccrt
3-In Misc select youre region and on splitdvd "add it if it doesnt exist or isnt valid"
4-Save this settings as default, just to keep this wave 4 settings , now lets start patching
5-This step has to be done everytime we select a wave 4 ISO:
_Patch even if steath passes
_Patch even if these files are invalid
_Patch video and select the video.iso
_Patch PFI and select the PFI.bin
6-Now press Launch, here it will start patching the game, when it's finished check it again with abgx without any patching
7- Now we have an ISO thats 100 % WAVE3 that works on firmware's 1.51 and 1.6 without the need of a new firmware.

All of you that can't get it to work, Patch with ppf-o-matic, but dont worry cause you will only be doing this so abgx will be confused and accept your video and pfi files. After u patch with ppf-o-matic just do what the guide says it will work like a charm,

Then can I patch from 3 to 2 for firmware 1.4X ?

which video iso file and which PFI file do I choose in abgx? I have 1.51 would I still choose "adjust 359 angle for 1.4?"

@dajaxman yeah, thats what most ppl i know do, but some ppl just patch the wave 4 games straight to wave 2 using ppf'o'matic patcher :)

all the files you need will be in the pack and yes adjust 359 angle for 1.4

theres more than one video and PFI file though does it matter which one I choose?
ok, I got it..u mean choose the video and pfi file from the PACK NOT the abgx program files..got it

in the pack there is video.iso, pfi.bin, tutorial.txt and Wave 4 to Wave 3 patching guide (english and images).pdf
there is only one video.iso and 1 pfi.bin so thats all you need :)

everytime I put the patched tekken 6 in, it just continually asks me to update and never loads. I burned the update onto a cd, but when I put that in, it just says mixed media disc. it won't let me burn the update to a dvd-r or a dvd-dl

ok, your post is incorrect. you say that if u have "non hitachi(=samsung) and don't want to upgrade then follow these steps". this is wrong..this is NOT for samsung 1.51 like I thought...

first i would like to say thanks for the tutorial it works awesome!!
i loaded the disc up on a samsung 1.51 and a liteon 1.51, now im still new to this and have one question.
If i play this game offline on my xbox live account will i get banned?
or is it only if i play it online? thanks again!

you need to get the update from the link in the tut.
the tut is not wrong you just need to read a little more carefully :)

some say you'll get banned even even if you play it offline, thats why there is 2 warnings in the tut :)

the best thing to do is copy and paste the iso to somewhere else on your comp so that you have 2 copies, then simply patch one then delete the patched one after you burn it, that way you'll still have an untouched wave 4 iso :)

try using usb method

hi want to play teken6 on samsung drive running 1.5 i extreme i don't go on live at the moment so followed guide got same problem as earlier poster in this thread disk is OK in abgx same as guide put disk in just keeps installing update and not loading disk in the guide it says update dash i tried burning to cdr and wont load is this the dashboard i want 2.0.8955.0 October 23, 2009 Download XNA BETA why wont it boot of cdr i take it i can load onto usb stick as mentioned in early post will then game then work as its driving me nuts ps i not a newbie if im doing anything wrong plz tell me wat please answer this thread thankyou

can someone answer nora's question? because this is the same problem that many are having. No one seems to be ableto update by burning to cd or usb? is this update not compatible with 1.51 or something? How can we update a new dashboard

I have no idea, since it doesn't affect me.
However, if all else fails, you can update to 1.6 and use the activate disc.
I'd recommend not stressing about it and just waiting for 1.61, though. Supposedly less than a week away. Unless you are absolutely fixated on Tekken, anyway.

copy the "$SystemUpdate" folder to the root of your usb, put the usb into your xbox console, now boot the console the update should now start.
Other Solution :
Burn the Folder "$SystemUpdate" With Nero As DATA DVD/CD/RW.
Put it In Your Xbox360 And Reboot It, The Xbox360 should Ask you To Update.
if that fails you can either take your harddrive to a friend who uses xbox live to update or rent a wave 4 game and update from there :)

Yes, it now works..the problem is not dragging the enitre system update folder to usb. also, even when burning the system update folder to disc it wasn't working..not sure why..thanks for ur help!

tried usb method taking files out of $SystemUpdate file and placing files onto root usb wont boot off usb usb stick wouldn't fit in 360 so used a fly lead dont think this made difference then burn the game without patching as i read it should install update this way no wont work tried burning update to cdr wont work i have applied both patches in abgx do u have to patch with ppomatic v14 15 as well as patching in abgx any help whould be great i just want get wave 4 working so i can play new cod i dont want to pay do get firmware upgraded till firmware settles down just payed to update up to 1.51 lol

you need to place the $SystemUpdate folder on the root of your usb stick, put the usb stick into your xbox and start/restart your console.
you don't need to use the ppfomatic if you're firmware is 1.51.
if your consoles drive isn't hitachi then it won't see the unpatched wave 4 game as a game, it will think it's a dvd, so you won't be able to update that way.

hi wat do u mean place file on root usb stick copied $SystemUpdate folder onto usb then tried just using files themselves my usb stick would fit in 360 so used cable will this make a differnce still wouldnt update tried everything its really pissing me off lol
