Patching wave 5 and 6

I have found the 360 wave patcher that is good if the game is wave 4 or lower but is there any software out right now that that can do wave 5 and 6? I have been searching for several days but have had no luck finding anything. This is for an xtreme mod BenQ that is offline only. Thanks in advance.

the 360 wave patcher patches wave 5 and 6 also.

what version of 360 wavespetcher will convert wave 6 to wave 3? trying to convert army of tow to wave 3.

I hate to be the one to disagree but i have the latest version and I don't see where it goes past wave 4. I put in my freshly ripped iso of Army of Two 40th Day and it ssays its a wave 4. Wrong because it is a wave 6. Can anyone explain how it does wave 5 and 6. thanks for your replys.

Trust me, i have converted Army of Two 40th Day to wave 3 for lots of friends.

The game is still wave 4 but has a new update that reports back as wave 6, before patching simply rip the update folder from the iso, put it on a usb stick or cd and update the xbox manually.

ok. so I have already ran army of two thru abgx.. btw I have version 1.0.1... do I need to update abgx to 1.0.2 before I convert to wave 3? and even with the errors on abgx the game will still work?

its always good idea to use the latest abgx, yeah it's ok to patch as is.

Just a question why patch waves 4 5 6 to 3 ? All drives can run those waves I just don't understand why you would want to patch them.

All drives can but not all firmwares.
Some people can't flash the drives themselves, so they need to patch the games in order to play them.

sicdude, you seem to be the man to go to with 360 questions.. I hope im not repeating what everyone has already asked but i am a bit confused. This is where im at. I have xtreme1.6 BenQ. I have never had a game fail, however i haven't burnt a game in awhile. Bioshock 2 is out. I got the Iso, burned like normal, and when I put it in, it plays like a "dvd" movie, but just with the XBox360 logo. I guess this is a 6th wave game and i need to patch it, make it a 4th or 3rd wave game instead. I am a bit confused on all the steps on how to complete this. Can you please let me know? Thanks in advance!
I forgot to mention I ran abgx360 and it patched a few things, i did this prior to burning the game as I always run abgx360 first. Thanks!

If you have 1.6 you will need to patch the game to wave 3 for it to boot with a boot disc.
Bioshock 2 is a wave 6 game, but when you load it up in the wavespatcher it will say that it's wave 4, that is because even though the game is classified as wave 6 the PFI is actually wave 4 and thats what will be patched.

Thank you for that information! With 1.6 even if you change from Wave 6 to Wave 3, you will still have to use a boot disc and it won't load on its own? If so, (I don't have a boot disc) can you direct me on how to create the boot disc? Thanks again I really appreciate it.

You will not need a boot disc for wave 3 games.

Okay... so i ran the wave patcher and it seems to have worked. When i put the disc in it picks it up as bioshock 2 and when i go to run it, it says it needs to run an update. I can't get the xbox to update to the latest dashboard. I downloaded the files, follow the directions, but when i restart it, it never asks to run an update or install... any thoughts???? Thanks again!

Okay I don't know what I did differently... i ran the update over and over and over again for the dashboard and finally it took. Bioshock 2 here i come! THANKS!

any thoughts on why the update screen for battle field bad company 2 keeps on showing up? tells me to install the update and restarts, but just keeps looping. I'm running 1.51 liteon drive, patched the game from wave 6 to wave3 with 360 wave patcher, but i can't get it to play. i took off the hdd and the game plays, so the burn looks good. dash is the current nov update. thanks

I patched Bioshock 2 to wave 3 with wavepatcher in order to boot it without activation disk on my 1.6, but i had to write the original unpatched version also, because the fall update was on the disk (and i was on a lower version) and patching the disk corrupted the disk update. (crazytubs i think thats an anwser to your question)
Now i see that Just Cause 2 is also wave 6, but as i understand i wont be able to patch it to wave 3 like i did with Bioshock 2, because wavepatcher will not recognise it as wave 4 (like with bioshock 2 because it's not a "real" wave 6, but PFI is actually wave 4), right?
So i still have to use the actvation disk in order to play it for now (until wavepatcher gets updated?)

Ey Sicdude,
I've read this post, but I'm still a bit confused on to what steps I should take. I have fw 1.4 on my xbox, so normally I would use wavepatcher to patch wave 3/4 games to 2. I tried patching FF13 (wave 6)to wave 2 with wavepatcher, but when I put the disc in the xbox it asks me to update (otherwise I cant play the disc) then it reboots and says it cant play the disc. What do u advise?

Hey sicdude. I'm having an issue. I downloaded SSF4 yesterday and can't get it to play on my friends old firmware. I think it's 1.51... I try to install that spanish or whatever language that 360wavepatcher is and it never installs. I have windows vista, and I don't see what it wont install. It gets to the 2nd check on the installation screen but then gives me this random error message and only thing I can understand is INSTALL.ZIP. SSF4 seems to be wave 6 and I want to convert it to wave 3, can you help me please? thanks
I just can't seem to understand why it doesn't get past the 2nd checkmark when it's installing and gives me that error.
