PC Blue screening while flashing

I bought a CK: http://cgi.ebay.com/Connectivity-kit-V3-...=item35a2fdbb6e

I insatlled portio, the usb drivers for probe, etc. I have everything plugged in right. When I turn the CK ON, my PC just blue screened and auto restarted.... I tried again and was able to eject the drive, turn off, pushed it in half way and then turned on and it blue screened again....

Has anyone encountered this and what are the chances the drive is still good?

Btw: after it blue screened and auto restart... i got some message that said detecting array so I just turned the CK off and restarted

some additional info: i am not using a sata card since I have the usb version. I had it connected to SATA. My sata one is taken up by hard drive and the other was from the CK. I have .net framework 2.0 and portio is installed correctly as well... no clue whats going on

Well I assembled it back and tried, it still works but not sure if DVD drive messed up since I dont have any CDs. It did power up as I was able to eject it.

When I tried using the CK on windows 7 it didn't blue screen but problem is I have 64 bit and DOS flash won't recognize my drive.
