Hi

My amigo has given me the above card and I installed it and the relevant driver to my PC (as PCIe obviously snapped into smaller connection). I run Vista 32 bit and now two devics show up in storage controllers:Intel 1CH82 Sata card controller and Silicon Image SIL 3531 Sata controller. Have checked the drivers in System 32 and neither shows up as vmsraid.sys you associate with VIA6421.

Do you know which is the PCIe Sata?

Can this be used to connect to the DVD Drive? My PC is DELL XPS 420 and may have onboard SATA and chipset.

HAVE GOOGLED BUT COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING SPECIFIC ON THIS ASPECT.
