I have been able to flash a Samsung and a BenQ with no issues. The problem lies with LiteOns!
I get to the stage when I erase the firmware in JungleFlasher then the app returns either a good status (72, 80) or a 0x0 status. Anyways whatever it returns good or bad, I cant do anything more in JungleFlasher so I then have to spend about two hours in DosFlash32 trying different ways for the drive to kickin so I can write the CFW on the drive!
Im using Windows 7, and have a separate power supply for the drive.
I found when removing the VIA VT6421 drivers in device manager the PCMCIA card stops responding and the laptop doesnt pick up the Sata ports anymore. Am I missing something out?
PortIO works fine, but may I add that when I do power on the external power supply my laptop freezes for 10-15seconds before I can start messing around again.
Im guessing the VIA drivers are screwing up the flash and not letting the drive come through?
I hope Im not the only one with this issue, have had enough of playing around for two hours at a time for a 10minute job! Ive been on multiple forums all night and still havent found the golden fix, any help would be great!
