Hey,
I'm trying to burn DVDs to play on my 360, but having no luck.
I had .mkv files. I used AVStoDVD to convert the .mkv files to "Elementary MPEG-2 Streams." I imported the MPEG - 2 streams into DVD architect 5.0, made the menu and everything worked fine in the preview. The file size was 5.1 gigabytes so I had to compress it a little bit to get it to fit on disk. I burned the DVD put in my XBOX and it didn't read. I played the DVD in an old DVD player I have and it lagged real bad and froze up after about 30 seconds. But it was at least working.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks guys/gals

They have to be in DVD format. The xbox 360 doesn't support the extensions above. Use converttoDVD

Thanks ModKing! Trying convertxtodvd now. Should this work on a standard dvd player as well or will I have to do something else for that?

As long as it's standard DVD format (with VOBs, IFOs, and BUPs), it should play on anything and everything.

Ahhh. I used convertxtodvd to make dvd files. Then I put the folders in ImgBrn. Everything seemed to be going fine until the very end when it was verifying the disk. Just kept saying "Incompatible Medium Installed" and my burner couldn't recognize the dvd it just burnt. I tried it in a dvd player and xbox , nothing. Here is the log if that helps. Thanks guys

You burn with ConverttoDVD not imgburn. Imgburn is not for that type of burning. It's for images, NOT video

You can use imgburn if your DVD is in file format, eg. you have the Video_TS & Audio_TS files. I have done this before and can confirm it works.
It looks like the OP has done this,

Yes, MikeTrev. I added the Video and Audio TS folder. The audio folder was empty, but I still had it there. The Video TS folder had everything in it. I checked the files before burning and they were perfect, had the audio and everything.
I'm using sony dvd+r but, I'm pretty sure they are just "rytek" or something rebranded?
I will try burning with convertxtodvd as well.
Thanks guys.

Just out of interest Modking, can this convert xvid/div to DVD? I normally use WinAVI but all the copies on Newzbin are virused.
