i have a samsung ms25 drive im powering it with my xbox.
every time i hit intro/device id button i get
MTK vendor intro failed
Status 0xD1
i tried the half tray open trick(not sure if i did it correctly) and it still didnt work
Please help i dont know what to do ive been at this for hours

isn't it for ms28 because when i tried clicking it it gave me some words and within it was ms28 and yes or no so clicked no. should i click yes??

I just had this issue the other night... after you hit the intro button, it should come back with a box asking if you want to resend it. Hit yes and then unplug the dvd drive power cable and plug it right back in. If you can do this within a second or so it will go into vendor mode and jungle flasher will recognize it.

Just to be clear. You're unplugging the little white plug from the back of the dvd drive, not the xbox itself, right?
Does the green light on the front start flashing after you do it? I found that if I didn't do it quick enough it would go into vendor mode(flashing light) but jungle flasher wouldn't recognize it.

yes thats what i do and yes the green dot flashes, is that right or is it supposed to not flash?? ive tried many times but no use

Are you doing that as Jungle Flasher is Resending Vender Intro and all the ................... are going across the screen? If that's when you're doing it my only advice would be to try to get it plugged back in quicker

Now that I think about it I had to go back to an earlier version of JF to get it to work. The very latest beta version wasn't working, maybe try to find an older version and see if that helps

Try 1.77 I don't have my computer that I use for flashing here. After several times of the newest not working I tried the one that I used the last time I flashed it. It was 1.7something I think 1.77

sorry but when i click intro/device id and click yes and the .......... begins do i unplug and plug once and wait for jf to recognize or do i unplug and plug unplug and plug repeatedly until jf recognize

With my experience if I didn't get it plugged back in in time I had to start everything over. Turn off the xbox, close JF and try again.
