i recently bought a used 360 arcade on amazon that had a drive problem.
When i got the 360 i popped it open and saw the benq drive in it so i ordered a new benq drive of the same model. However, the drive doesnt work. i tried the new drive with my other xbox to verify that it works but it will not work with the arcade from amazon.

i figure the problem is that the arcade did not originally come with a benq drive, maybe this person had done some spoofing with the old benq drive.

SO....
IS THERE A WAY TO TELL FROM THE MOTHERBOARD OF THE XBOX, WHAT DRIVE WAS ORIGINALLY INSIDE IT??

1. What was the problem with the original drive ?

2. Did you extract the key from the old one and flashed the new one ?
