Please help me burn a game for the first time

There are several tutorials and I am sorry but I am getting very confused with all this information. I have a modded 360 and I dont know the firmware or anything sorry but I have clonecd and imgburn I used jdownloader to get the game downloaded through tehparadox and have dl verbatim discs. Please when I try to begin burn through clonecd it cant find a file when I click browse. When I use imgburn at 4x it starts and sometimes gets 10% sometimes 80% and then an error comes up and says a bunch of 0's and incompatible media. I'm sorry I am just a girl getting started and do not know alot about this but I have searched and searched and tried all the suggestions and wasted 9 discs and they aren't cheap! If some one wouldnt mind giving me steps start to finish I sure would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

1:Download the game (which you have;) )
2:run the iso through abgx (google and you'll find it)let it verify the iso, it should correct the .dvd file if it needs fixing.
3:start imgburn, select burn image to disc.
4:set the speed to x2.4 and select the .dvd file NOT the iso
5:burn the game.

Thanks for the quick reply I have done this and at 2.4 it makes it to about 80% and gives me an error message in imgburn. Something like this guys I will post a link [url=http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6707][/url]

Looks like you'll just need a new DVD writer. Any new recent drive will work as long as it's a name brand and will write to DVD+R DLs.

Oh no! I have a sony vaio laptop less than a year old...man u really think its the burner?

Laptop burners are less reliable so it's a possibility. If you don't have a desktop PC nearby then purchase an external burner for your laptop.

Ok well thanks! i have an HP that I use to burn wii games but I didnt want to put the xbox games on it too..maybe I will try it though
